Two thoughts:

1) Non indians will likely struggle with most non - anglicized names.. doesnt matter really.

2) The boy should have whatever name the parents feel is special to them.. Indian names have a wonderful charm of their own :)

I had a hard time when i was younger growing up in a small city in Canada with very few indo-canadians and more mispronounciation of my name. However as an Adult, its a huge part of my identity and im glad my name isnt anglicized.

I like names like: Anshu, aayush
Sanjay, Shahid (after my favorite actor Shahid kapoor..whch btw, also means "Patriot";) :-)
Rohan

My sis in law had a boy recently and they named him Arin which though I do not think is a traditional Indian name, it does have an ethnic sound to it. Other names I like are:

Rajan
Vinay
Deven
Ajay
Avinash
Kishan

Good luck in your search!
