Good Food, Terrible Service. Tickets are not really all the cheap. Also, they'll keep you ON THE PLANE at Heathrow a lot of times while the plane is being refuled there. If they do allow you to get off, the terminal has no food or water available (or atleast that was the case whenever I've travelled thru AI).

I heard they are also notorious for being behind schedule and people often miss connecting flights?
Lost luggage etc...

You can hear it from me again. They lost my luggage when I was going to India for my wedding! :cuss: Not that they knew about it and did it intentionally but talk about bad luck eh? And I heard about it prior to this too and didn't think it would happen to me. I only had to fly them because I missed my connecting flight in London because of Air Canada (another pathetic airline).

And just when I thought it could not get any worse, I had to bribe the lazy ass rotten vermins at the Bangalore airport to get my own luggage back. I digress. But yes, Air India sucks...sucks on all counts. You name it.

I've taken AI twice, for my last two visits to India...The first one was Toronto-Birmingham-New Delhi and the second one was the non stop flight from JFK to New Delhi and I can't complain.

Their services are much better than the previous airlines I flew with...Air France (Pathetic), Air Canada, United (use to fly India) and American Airlines.

The only problem I had was that they only have Red Label for scotch and I hate it, other than that, it was a pleasurable experience.

The food was alright (I don't really expect good food on any flight, unless you are flying first class), the crew was courteous and the AI counter people at both JFk and New Delhi were polite....can't really ask for more....can we?

Out of the n washrooms, n-1 will not be working. Also, u have to bear with the grumpy faces of the hostesses (discrimination). They of course smile at goras and goris. Forgive my rude comments.

Well, about luggage......even the best of the airlines in the world do that.Swiss AIr misplaced my luggage when we went for a holiday to Switzerland.British Airways probably has a record for doing that....

I hav flown AI many times (not from Canada) .... its pretty OK.Ofcourse u can't expect service like Emirates/LH but its NOT that BAD either!
