Everyday we get a lot of paper from various sources....credit card bills, rental receipts, investment reports....I am curious to know how people are handling this deluge of paper...how long do you keep credit card statements and bills, income tax papers....how do you file them...when will we move to a paperless society?

This is what I do,
All my credit card bills are on-line. No Paper
Hydro, Peel Water, Enbridge, Bell, Union Energy - I get these thru epost. No paper
Investment Accounts - On line - No paper
I can go back 24 months if I need to view any past statements
Couple of bills I get on paper as they do not have on-line service.
I have shredder at home and shred all important (unwanted) documents from time to time.
Certain documents I need to keep paper such as Income Tax.
