I know there are too many threads on passport renewal, but this is specific to child passport renewal who is 10 years old
Few questions are
1. which category I should apply - options are Issue of fresh passport or after 10 yaers or five years for minor.
2. Deepending upon category fees will decide - $65 or $45 correct?
3. PR card- do I need to send to give original PR card along with application. how to avoid sending original PR card in mail, any other options?
4. any one used Camp from Indian consulate officials in different cities? there is one coming at Calgary
5. Child should be present while applying at this Camps or parent can complete this application process?
6. Since I am applying at camp, I still need to attach pre-paid envelope from Canada post ( express post)
7. time duration- how much time it will take to get passport renewed? will this passport be renew for another 5 or 10 years. If I am applying for Canadian citizenship in another 6 months, so should I declare about same while applying?

If the current passport has completed its full life of 10 years, you cannot renew, you have to apply for fresh one.

This fee is for no. of pages in the passport.

Yes, original is necessary. There is no option.

Yes, very important. Especially if the passport is being renewed after the full term of 10 years, the look of the child will have changed completely.

7 days, 5 years for kids under 16, 10 years for adults. Canadian citizenship make no difference to your passport renewal application. Not even asked anywhere.
