Hi OCI applicants at CGI Toronto,
- How long is it taking for the OCI to be processed. According to the http://www.cgitoronto.ca/ CGI Toronto website, it is processed in 15 days. So will it mean that I will get my Canadian passport with U-visa sticker and OCI booklet back in 15 days.
- Do I NEED to also submit my canadian citizenship certificate (wallet sized) along with passports etc.
- Are you aware of any forum related to OCI process in toronto?

1. One to three months
2. No need to submit card, you need to submit citizenship paper mentioning date of acquiring citizenship

In what cases is it issued in the published 15 days time frame. Do most of the cases fall in 1-3 months processign time frame?
Do you know of any forum/thread with tracking/processing info for Toronto.

I think what they mean is that after the documents (photocopies) go to India, they take 15 days to process. After that your card is mailed back to Toronto consulate. It all takes at least around a month.
There are tons of threads on PIO/OCI on this forum. Please use "search in Charcha." Please check the dates on the thread too as procedures change with time.

I recently received my OCI, I went there early around 6:30 and still was not in 1st 45 list so I submitted all my original doc and application in a prepaid envelope.
I received all my original docs back in next 15 days (that's what they might be referring to)
However for OCI it takes atleast 2months from your application date to arrive in Toronto,
Also I noticed there is no security feature at all for the OCI status inquiry webpage, if you had applied for OCI and received a tracking number to see if it's processed.
When you go online to check the status, also try entering the next number rounded in 100, you can see the status of application of the next/previous person who applied for OCI.

PLEASE TAKE THE PASSPORT IN WHICH THE "u" STICKER IS STAMPED-I RECENTLY VISITED INDIA AND TOOK THE OCI PASSPORT AND MY CURRENT PASSPORT AND THEY WOULDN'T LET ME IN-YOU WILL NEED THE PASSPORT -THAT U GOT THE OCI. I ENDED UP GETTING A TEMPORARY VISA FOR 14 DAYS BY PAYING 60CAD -DONT FORGET YOUR DOCUMENTS-LESSON LEARNT

OCI aplication to final pick up takes 25-35days the most. Submit all copies clear and place them according to check list. Must meet photo size and requirement.
CAN CERT CARD is not required to submit but keep it with you.
