I have seen a small beehive in my backyard (under the railingsof the deck). Can anyone please suggest how to get rid of it.

I think only way to get rid of it permanently is by burning it. There are spray cans of Bee & Hornet Killer as well. But I did not recommend any of these to you.

Smoke it first or put soap water and clean it. Then paint/stain it or put kerosene oil on it for few days and then paint/stain it.

You can get some foam spray for yellow jackets at Canadian Tires. Will get the instructions on the bottle. I used it two times in the last few years. Very easy and effective.
