i m in canada since 3 years on work permit..i had applied for PR in family class and just got my entire family passports stamped with landing visa from new york.
According to the requirements I crossed the border today with my Landing visa. But unfortunately due to some domestic problems I had only 1000 dollars roughly in my account. so the officer told that my dependents will have to meet the landing financial requirements when they come...
The scanario is that my husband is not coming right now with my son and daughter who are coming just nw on 29th september...so do my son and daughter who are still students need to carry the entire required finance with them....or it will be acceptable if my husband brings the money with him..he is coming in october 2008....
if my kids need to bring money with them then is it ok if they bring somewhere around 12,000 dollars....or they need more....
and lastly also indicate how much money is needed to be shown for a 4 member family....
thanks
will be a very very great favor...will wait for ur reply asap...
You are fine in letting the kids bring in the sum as mentioned in your posting and it will suffice. Please make sure that they are informed about the declaration form that they will receive from the stewardess, on the last leg of their flight. Do declare the total amount that all of them will bring in with them (ALL)
Happy landing.
Freddie.
P.S. I have difficulty in sending more than one PM to anyone in a period of 24 hours.
Since you are already here and employed for the past three years, you can produce all of these through them when they arrive. Send them an e-mail with details. Ask them to print the same and bring it along with them. Also, place of residence, SIN #, and a Phone number that you use, and any other pertinent details such as Health card that you have. Your husband can bring in the balance of funds to prove that there are sufficient funds to support all of you four here for a substantial period.
Good Luck.
Freddie.
P.S. I can only respond to one PM per day as my storage in my mail box is too much.
thanks very much for ur concern and reply......
freddie is correct
