I think, you will get a lot of info if you check the Job Websites like Monster.ca, Workopolis.ca, dice.ca, etc.
You will get job postings from these recruiters and you will find their websites as well. Your intention here is to only get their Websites and apply directly.
I have a friend who is a recruiter and makes tons of money. If you have previous exp and know how to get Contractors work - you make a lot of commission/salary.
Toronto has lots of opportunities. You will do well - if you stay persistent and thereby fight your way up.
