Looks like the liberals did not do good in GTA which used to be there strong point. Specially they used to get all the slum votes from Refugees and New Immigrants.

I gues the voters must have realised the hypocracy . :cuss:

Nobody won, but the liberals did lose. Not in the GTA because they kept all of the seats except the one for Olivia Chow and Jack Layton (NDP). Liberals lost even more in Quebec and some 905 seats.

Why are we GTA people crying on Conservatives for economy & manufacturing jobs, when OSHAWA - the worst hit area for shredding manufacturing jobs, is electing conservatives. Even Jim Flaherty won in the Whitby-Oshawa in Ontario after making awful comments on Ontario.

It looks like we people in GTA are simply fighting for the people who doesn't care for even themselvess. Or may be we are just following the picture shown by the media like Toronto Star who are hard core liberal supporters.

Windsor guys are a lot better for electing NDP........ (windsor is another area badly affected by the economy & manufacturing jobs)

Conservatives are known for boosting business and defacto jobs/people. Liberals are pro-govt involvement in taking care of people by creating their own jobs (give everybody govt jobs). NDP are pro-unions (nuff said).

So you are loosing your auto plant job - who is going to work/spend to get your job back?

I think yesterday's results are largely being seen as a major setback for the reds, including the leadership of Dion.
Even though Conservatives did not win an outright majority, the fact that Liberals lost significant ground implies that they lost the most in this election.
If Tories had won an outright majority, Dion would have quit by now.
His leadership will be called into question quite likely.

And rightly so...I cannot imagine him as PM material. The Liberals will be much better off without Dion leading.

The results are also reminder to all the leaders that none of them is capable - ALONE. Harper is the better of the LOT - but not enough to be the Majority PM.

The low voter turn out should also be a matter for concern.

Mr Dion would most probably resign or may be sucked out before we go into polls again.....

anyways it was just a waste of $300 million election except some good point they came up with during their campaign. How good is those implemented ???? we'll have to wait & see
