If prosecuted, the parents could face upto 14 years in prison.
My personal opinion? I am against suicide but this case seems to move me in the other direction. Just this case. For someone like a rugby player whose physicality is everything to him, to be paralyzed for the rest of his life can be utterly devastating. And imagine the parents who had to fly their own son to a suicide clinic in Switzerland...I mean surely they must have done this after much much deliberation and the heaviest of hearts. I sympathize with them.
What is your opinion? can we please stay on track and have a healthy discussion?

I agree with suicide too. In a lot of cases, (like paralysis, pain due to cancer, Severe mental retardation) etc..., Life does not have much to offer to these people and they are a source of pain / suffering to who ever is looking after them. May be they will receive more solace in death.
There is a fine line which can be drawn from suicide and murder and it is very subjective and is what courts canot decide.
All this IMO only and is not binded to be followed by others.
