Fellow CD;s. Have you succesfully used Workopolis. I have my resume on Workopolis for years and after applying to scores of jobs have managed to get 2 phone interviews. Both of the interviews did not land me ajob.
I have followed tips on the website and tweaked my resume so many times.

Never. I have not ever received even a phone call. Nor have I met anyone as yet who has landed a job through Workopolis. Though I am sure it works for many - otherwise how can the website be in business for so long.

Ive got numerous interviews & both my jobs through Workopolis ... Be smart though to distinguish b/w genuine and dummy openings ... consultants generally post openings to fill their database ... you can easily spot genuine postings .
I have always wondered that though Monster appears to be more systematic , I have always received more calls from Workopolis ...

It depends on the job.
Most IT people (Yes. I mean IT) get through Wokopolis only. A lot of recruiters use that site to reach out to people.
if you have your resume on Workopolis, there is 99.9 % chance that a member of Primerica would have contacted you (esp. if you are a new immigrant).
If you think that Draftsman, Sociologists, B. A. English, BA Psycology, MBBS can get a interview call / jobs through Workopolis, then you are mistaken. Workopolis works for a certain breed of immigrants only. However, Most Canada born and Educated Canadians (in fields other than IT ) use and get job through Workopolis.
My experience : I always apply to jobs through workopolis and I got an Interview call for a Roof Detailer -after 3 or 4 years (mainly in this case b'cos I had stated that I got my Diploma in Arch. Technology in Canada). I did my interview very well but they recruited Canada born people b'cos they thought that they would adapt better / be the right fit.

Me and My wife both got jobs from workopolis.
I apply only to direct employer jobs not to agency.
Few months back when i was looking for a new job i got pretty good response from Employers. I am in Finance field and I have no certifications but still i get interview calls from employers who are seriouly looking for CGA's . But end up hiring me.
