Hi CD's

I am in the market to buy a new car. My choices are Honda civic, corolla LE, volkswagen city jetta 2.5. My driving habitslike less than 15000 kms per year mostly local driving say 75% and long distance 25% but my friend choice is VW. just would like to know any one has VW and their experience.

VW quality has been falling steadily in recent years.
They are having more and more problems.
I don't see any reason to buy VW right now, esp. if you live in North America.
Both Civic and Corolla are good cards, but you will be paying high premiums for both those cars since they are so popular in the small car market.
My suggestion is for the same price, you can get larger and more comfortable cars from US manfacturers like the Taurus, Intrepid, etc.
Another brand to avoid is Mitsubishi.

I am also contemplating of buying an SUV of Hyundai with some mileage on it about 50k.
Does anyone have any experience/feedback of performance & reliablity with above cars.
Toyota & Honda SUV are a bit pricey for my budget.
