As someone stated earlier in this thread, Job situation in US is hopeless at the moment and my choices as of now are get job as fast as possible here to continue my H1 or move somewhere else.
I have about 17yrs + experience in IT out of which 7+ yrs in Project Management
I came across Alberta Immigration program and thinking of applying for the immigration.
After reading several posts I thought I shall ask this, are there any Software Project Managers out there on this forum? If yes, what is the timeframe to land in a project manager's job in Alberta. I am in Detroit, MI right now and it's one of the US worst cities so consider that.
So my questions in short are
1. Will my US experience count?
2. Is there any market for EMC Documentum?
3. What is the expected salary range?

Telus in Canada uses Documentum. One of my friends was thinking about moving to Canada back in 2005 and he had an offer from Telus. If I remember correctly they offered to pay him CAD 150 an hour at that time, but he decided against it and stayed back in the US.
