Hi,
I got my visa on Aug 30.My dad is the principal applicant.I need to land before may 19.I wanted to decide whether to come to canada with a plan to immigrate or just land now and complete the landing formalities and go back. The reason being very obvious, getting jobs is difficult it seems.I have done my engineering and post graduate diploma in business administration.Iam currently working for a MNC and earn around 35k PM.Iam working since 2 yrs apporoximately. So is it a wise idea to take risk and start everything there else do the job here and I was also thinking in case i continue to work here i.e comeback in 10-20 days,I can plan for doing MBA in Canada starting Fall 2010 by securing admission from here by giving GMAT and stuff from here (like a international student does) and start my life in CANADA with studies in fall 2010 and by the time MBA gets over, probably things should be better of in 2011 end-2012.My brother is already planning to do MS this FALL and he is not coming back after landing in MARCH.My dad will access the situation and come back if it doesnt work out or stay there because he has taken Voluntary retirement a yr back and he doesnt have to leave the job and go,max to max he will come back if he doesnt like. Its only me who has a decent job here and I need to decide abt that because even my brother is not working here and finished his engineering last june and he is already about to get admits from 2-3 universities of canada for fall 2009.Please guide me how should I proceed along.
It has been a long time I had posted a query. It has been read by 170 people but no reply so far!!!..Please guys help me out.
My suggestion : Stay in India and finish your landing process.
If you want to do MBA, then start preparing for GMAT, TOEFL now and apply to universities after finishing your landing procedure. This way you will save on international student fees.
Try to enter MBA school as early as possible, so that when economy gets better in around 2 years you are ready to get back to work. As of now, it is really difficult to get jobs after finishing MBA.

Hi Vivek901
The number of people who view your post will keep increasing daily.
The mood in Canada is currently one of despondency.
Ash20 has given you very good advice. I hope you take his advice to heart and implement it. All the very best.
