My daughter is in India and she is pregnant at present (running 2nd month).
Can I call her in Toronto and can she deliver child in Canada. Whether she can get extension of visa for delivery ? How much cost for normal delivery and if she may have go for operation. I want to select option because otherwise we have to go for India and stay their for 3-4 month
I need views of members on this issue

You can call your nearest hospital and ask to be connected to patient accounts. They can tell you the approximate cost of delivery without OHIP.

Just to add to that, you will need to consult a doctor in the last few weeks before due date. So you have to account for that doctor's fee, too.
Also, you have to have some buffer for any post-natal care, if needed.
Sometimes lactation consultant may be needed or follow-up visits with the doctor.
Basically without OHIP, anything and everything will have to be paid out of pocket since no insurance company will cover this.
If your daughter is working in India and has a health insurance plan through her company, they /may/ partially cover some expenses like doctor's visits, etc.
Check with them to be sure.
