Guys,
Do you think Handicap person can get visitor visa of Canada? [Is there any rule to not allow visa to handicap person?]
I would like to invite my sister to visit Canada who is 26 years old / Handicap [50%] and working in Government University(salary around Rs. 6000).
Her husband is also handicap (15 %) and working in pharma company (salary around Rs. 7000).
There is no issue from my side for bank balance / income / tax returns.
I've already invited my parent and they have visited twice.
Is it worth to try and apply for visitor visa for them?
As per my understanding there are two negative points.
- Both are handicap (This point may be the plus point to ensure that they will go back to India)
- Both are young
Please give me your advice.

You can try and apply for visa and see. Getting a visa is like a lottery these days and no one can pin point the reasons for approval / rejection. visa fee is peanuts for most Indians these days. There will be atleast 2 medical test for sure which can push the time the visa is issued (if at all they issue it)
As I see it, there is greater sense of rejection for the fear that both may stay in Canada for the reason of 'Rejection in the society in India" and the visa officer may see this as a possible "Humanatarian compassion" case once they reach Canada.
To counteract this, you can highlight the govt. position (though for Rs 6K salary, I doubt if your sister is a permanent gpvt. employee) that your sister may be in and also get a letter from the Vice Chancellor that she will come back to her position. VC's letter is very much respected by the visa officers.

TK is right ... visit visa is a lottery. However you have to keep in mind that when you apply for the visa ... they dont ask if you are physically handicapped !!!! And considering their age ... i doubt they will be asked to do a medical exam. Hope for the best and ask them to apply.
