How long after becoming a landed immigrant can one sponsor parents?

If you have good savings can the process be started earlier?

I would like to sponsor my mother, a single parent with no other dependants in her home country, as soon as possible. Are you aware of any exceptions that can facilitatethis process?

You can sponcer your parent after a year as you have to show income of 40,000 + 3,000 * number of people in your family. It varies from place to place so you have to verify from http://www.cic.gc.ca

You can show your income only after your get your T4.

And to have 40K salary just upon arriving is not an easy task!
