To the OP:
Women were looked down upon for a VERY long time.
Women fought for their rights for a VERY long time.
Women in some parts of the world STILL fight for their right.
If you care to step out of this American well of ignoramuses, "women's lib" is still a fantasy land concept. Religion doesn't help but I digress.
That is just a small snippet.
Given this, you want MEN to take offense to their portrayal in a few ads?
You are watching too much TV. For example...make a survey of top positions in big firms, governments, across all verticals of business. More men than women? Now ask, why? I am not talking oppression. There are other not so obvious reasons and the reasons go deep. Get it?
Think.
See how the point you are trying to make is probably just a big NOTHING?

I do not know what is your problem, but you seem to be taking objection to any messages that any member puts on this forum? Why are you so cynical/confrontational? Or do you think that whole world should confirm to your line of thinking? Or do you always wake up on the wrong side of bed? Why are you so acerbic in your postings?
Making fun of men is not an answer to so called "male oppression". It is a stupid backlash. And if men are made fun of in TV commercials, why not women?

Though I fully agree with your views, I feel that B'lorean made a very valuable comment on your posting.
The commercials showing men being mocked is no big deal and I agree with B'lorean that there are other areas in which ladies have been sidelined esp. in jobs and in the blonde girls joke
