rejected - visitor visa for parents

Hi:

my friend's application for parent's visitor visa has been rejected, based on insufficient funds on both side...what's the expected amount of funds on both sides?

I will appreciate if any expert can shed some light on this..

Hi My case is simmilar to you
I want to invite my parents on visiting VISA. I am at Mississauga. My parents are in India. Please anybody suggest me how to apply from Canada for my parents (Visiting Visa)? I went to India in last summer June to September 2008. I applied from India and the case is rejected for insufficient money in my account. How much money I sould have in my account in Canada? Howmuch money my parents should show in India? Please anybody knows about this. Your answers will be appreciated. Please....

Cdn. Immigration is like lottery. That being said, a sort of acceptable salary to them would be like $60,000 K individual salary for1 or 2 years (with no savings) or around $50,000 K Individual salary for 3 or 4 years with around 20-25K in savings.
Alternatively if both spouses work, a salary of 50K each (with no savings) or 40K each with savings of 20-25K.
A letter from your MP and MP/chief justice from India would be of help too.
If you have relatives in the USA , ask them to sponser your parents for a visa to USA and then apply from USA to canada.
I have also noted that if you are a software engineer (atleast one person in the family), you will get it very easily.

Did they mentioned fund from which side? Your side or your parent side? I was earning 100K, had enough money in savings account, but my parent did not get visitor visa with same saying. Parent had shown more than 15 lakhs in india as well...

But the reason was same.

My finding was with couple of friends able to get visitor visa for their parent is if parent is working india for full time job like bank, goverment, teaching etc they give for sure. Also, retire parent but receving big pension like GEB job etc.. got as well. So most important is parent should have regular income in india on papers. Our finding was all friend's parent got rejected who are not working and not receving any pensions. Like my dad was retire from his business so he can not show income tax papers and my mom was housewife..it was similar in other friends as well who got rejected.

Also, they see sometimes.. how fast you bring them once you land here.. there were people who applied after 5 years being here..for visitor visa n never applied for immigration clearly indicates that its only visiting purpose..

so many detail likes this..I would not say its lottery.. They go thru file..and all the points..

I will try next year again with more funds.........Hope will ger Visitor Visa next year

Boy! I am planning to apply for visitor visa for my parents and all these horror stories give me goose-bumps.

Let me try my luck as well...
