I received a letter that I am not eligible to sponsor my parents due to less income. But I requested in the application that I want to proceed even I am not eligible, so my parents still has to submit PR application at New Delhi. I received the kit and now about to submit the application. I am confused what will happen? What are the chances and circumstances under which New Delhi may approve PR for my parents?

My reasons are; I cannot afford Day care here and I need them to take care of my child. They are Financialy sound and educated. If they are here I can go for good job. My income and my husband income will be sufficient and may afford to keep my parents with us. But for that to happen they need to be here with us so I can find good job. Please help me. What to do?

Did your husband co-sign the agreement?
If not, that's the best option I believe.

Hi There

sorry I dont have information about the immigration process for your parents, however I noticed a website:

http://www.gov.on.ca/children/english/programs/beststart/care/STEL01_136541.html

This discusses various subsidies for child care that are available and usually based on your family income.

Hope that may help a bit.

Did you not see the minimum income cut-off criteria before applying? In any case, if you have applied despite being ineligible, then even if the application is sent to New Delhi, there is a high probability that your parents will not be given the PR visa.

The sad thing is that you have wasted 28-29 months for the decision on your sponsorship, when you knew that you won't meet the income criteria.

It has been well documented that the Canadian government is hell-bent on restricting parental sponsorships, and even borderline cases that were accepted in the past are now being rejected. So, this situation doesnt help your case.

If you want them to be here so that you can find a job, then the alternative for you is to apply for a visitors visa which should get them in the country for 6 months, and you can apply for a further 6 month extension. That should be sufficient for you to get settled in your career. However, even for that, you have to show a minimum level of income and your parents must show that they have income/assets/property back home which will cause them to return.

Given the fact that the OP has applied for and recently been denied sponsorship, there is a high chance that the Canadian consulate will refuse the visitor visa as well.
It would be very hard to convince CHC that there is no immigration intent.
But then CHC runs amuck accepting/refusing visitor visas at random, so I guess you could get lucky :)

I too feel sad that I wasted 29 months. We did the calculation and found that we meet the cut-off criteria. As I was also working part time. On that faith I submitted application. But CRA calculation came out to be little different.

Yes, my husband co-signed the agreement.

What I am thinking now that my parents will submit the application in hope lucky enough to get Visa. If denied than I will call them on visitor visa. Please feel free to let me know about my this decision. Because already application is filled and police clearance is done.

I believe there is an option in application 'to proceed' so may be there is a factor to decide on my parents financial status as well.

Yes, the option is always there to proceed even without sponsorship approval.
I don't know how many of such cases end up successful, though.
It may work - maybe others who have been successful in this manner can share their experience .

Your strategy of applying for visitor visa in case PR visa is rejected is most likely not going to work, as I said in my previous post above.
Rejection of parents' PR visa, in addition to rejection of your sponsorship application, will quite likely lead to rejection of visitor visa as well.
If you want to gamble and apply for visitor visa, better do it now rather than wait for PR visa to be rejected and then doing it.
