Bought Philips indoor antenna today from Wall Mart. Could only get CBC, and not quite impressed with the quality. Will return it tomorrow and might go for a satellite (although not permitted in our complex but will find a way... - jugaad)
I am presently using this( The $20 one). It works fine if you can orient the antenna south - south easterly direction.

Bye the way your TV should have ATSE tuner
Bye
I ve brought all 3 of the above and will begin experimenting now . Also brought a digital converter box as ours is a 2005 model TV .
Febpreet - did you get lucky and if yes what kind of antenna did you finally use ?

Hey Fido,
No, I bought one that I mentioned above and it only gave me CBC with the picture quality worst than cable. So, I returned that. After that I didn't get a chance to experiment even further. Just need to try a few more. It's frustrating when I pay monthly cable bill, as we do not watch much TV, except for a few comedy series and news. Unfortunately, Canada doesn't have too many choices in this context.
Will start this on the long weekend.
Good luck with yours...
I am having a channelmaster HD antenna (outdoor one). I get around 14 channels clear, 2 okay and 7 not-so-okay. If I turn the antenna a bit, I can get 2 of 7, but will loose City TV digital
Yesterday , I tried the Philips rabbit ears (@10/-) and the silver streak Terk 58A($55/- ) .
Hooking on the rabbit ears directly to the TV got me blurry reception on 10 channels but not worth watching . As soon as I used a digital converter box b/w the rabbit ears and the TV , I had crystal clear reception on 5-6 channels , mostly American which included Omni1 / 2 , Fox 29 .
Putting the silver streak go me lesser no. of channels though 1/2 were different . I m still to try the outdoor antenna but as of now I m sticking to the rabbit ears and the converter box . Will post an update later .
