Hello all, One of my close acquiantiances back home is being offered a pre-arrangmed employment by a company called Jobcan which is located in Winnipeg. I am highliy doubtful that this is a legitimate offer as this company is also asking for a service charge for 1600 CAD And a security deposit for 4000 CAD.
I wanted to seek advise as to what should i do to find if this offer is legitimate ? besides from calling the contact information i have listed on the letter that they have provided back home. As obviously one of their employees will answer if i call the same number.
There is nothing on internet that i can find about this company JobCan and i am not sure if this is a big scam !! I will really appreciate any and all help with this folks. Thank You in advance
I have attached a link to the picture image for the offer letter that JOBCAN has provided back home. Please review and share your thoughts. thx.

Well the form itself is suspicious cause I work with a placement Agency and
when they do job offers the procedure is totally different. They ask for some amount upfront and the rest after the hrdc approval.

From the links, it is very obvious that :
1. JobCAN is a private placement firm.
2. It looks like a front end for Caroll Fisher Belding law firm.
3. It is using the HRDC letterhead which CAN/MAY be misleading. This needs to be reported to HRDC.
4. The letter makes no sense by addressing it to Services Canada...which is another Independent Fed. Govt. department. There is no link between HRDC, Services Canada and JobCAN as being proposed in the letter.
5. There is another agency nvolved - canadaimmigrationservices - which says
\"Fees
When you retain our services, you are contracting for our time, effort, experience and breadth of professional expertise. Our general policy is to charge a flat rate for our immigration legal services. In exceptional cases we work on the basis of an hourly rate. In accordance with Canadian and provincial laws, we never charge fees to jobCan applicants.
In short it looks like an indefinite loop of companies who are trying to grab your hard earned $$.
You know what to do...
Good luck.

As per my knowledge, anybody want to work in certified profession (eg. doctors, nurse, teacher, professore etc), you need to go through a lengthy process of registrations.
eg. if you want to teach in ontario you have to enrole your-self with 'Ontario College of Teachers' an application takes around 2-12 months(based on how fast you can send documents directly from backhome, as they dont accept even orginal transcript from your hand). Then interview then upgrading you education/skill etc..etc...

And there is no job that can ask you to put any MONEY as a security deposite, under any provincial nominee program.
No doubt there is certain program that can bound you to stay for certain year in certain province. But asking for money!!!.. watchout man...I don't think...It's trust-worthy.
Good Luck!!
