Hello everyone, I got $975 price (return) for Jet Airways but was said that it would be operated by Air Canada. Jet Airways price is a bit higher at around $1150 and this is discounted by Air Canada.
Is there any diffrence when Jet Airways is operated by Air Canada. I heard that discounted tickets may have long stoppage or anything like that. I would request some light on this.
Thank you.
It's called code sharing. One aircraft is operated under multiple flight numbers. Whatever schedule (dep and arr times) you got for Jet applies regardless of who operates the flight.
The difference would be the food you get and possibly the quality of service. You will get what AC offers to eat. Also, you may have to check in at AC counters, but that may depend from airport to airport. For example KLM operates using Northwest/Delta aircrafts or sometimes Martinair (europe) aircrafts. KLM, NW, DL and any others are part of a code share.
Similarly, AC operates with Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines.
