If economists are so smart, then why they didn’t predict current recession in 2006 or 07?

Actually, they won’t to fall in recession and always need some issue to keep their job continue.

BTW, the OP did not just talk about the job market but intentionally added some positive points of this country to misguide the people who are knew to this country or supposed to land here in future.

I tried to show you the clear picture (u people already know it but don't accept it because of our typical nature) which of course is hard to digest and that does not mean that we should start comparing it with any other country. So please make habit to accept what the reality is? Only argue if I say anything wrong.

There is a strong reason why exams like IIT-JEE don't allow students to use calculators until they enter into the engineering school.

Don't compare India and Canada. If u want to, then wait until Canada will have 1000 million people and then show me where your living standard will go.

Thanks

Web2000 - eagerly awaiting your response whether you left Canada because you didnot find any positives. If so, which country you went to?

I would like to give my 2 cent for 1000 million comment. It is highly unlikely that Canada will become 1000 million in the next 100 years. Moreover, in India, nobody else dumped 1000 million people into the country and asked us to deal with it. It is our own over population. Also, over population or population density does not mean living standards will go down. Example - Japan, singapore, hong kong.

Even our neighbour China has much better infrastructure with as big population as ours. Even we are developing. I read they allocated 1 lakh crores for infrastructure in our budget. India is developing, although it won't happen over night. It is going to take a few years or decades.

Take for example (just one, I promise) the storm water drainage on my street...the damn water always drains perfectly, depriving my 3 yr old few puddles to jump around. Those engineers with stupid calculators...damn them.

On the other hand, where my parents live (I'll let you guess the country they live since this is all about Canada...), the ditch the civil engineers directed and built is about a foot from the street surface. Somehow, over there, water is believed to climb up the walls of the ditch and fall in.

Anyway, that ditch design has been bothering me for a while and I am glad I got it out.

Please don't waste your time arguing my post...it's just meant to be humorous (although what I stated is facts).

LOL. HaHa :)
Thats indeed funny :)

I have no desire of leaving Canada as I am making money here. But that does not change the reality what we got here. The truth will remain the same and I don't care if u agree or not.
The only difference between u and me is that I speak about the drawbacks and u just accept it. I still believe that telling the truth about this country will provide good guidance to new people.

For your knowledge, let me tell u that it is the no. of people which make difference not the density of population alone. Go to China and see the life of labor there.

In the future I will try to avoid any type of criticism as I judged your level of debate.

Sorry Web2000.
My positive points were more sarcastic than reality.
Every one (Except people in IT, Finance, Labourers and people who escaped India due to reservation, lack of clean air, pollution, corruption, unable to produce a baby) would agree that canada sucks in everything.
Immigration is a huge scam to bring people here and make them loose everything (Money, Professional skills etc...) and then to live a pay cheque- Paycheque life while providing for CPP/OAS/ Healthcare for senior citizens.
Some people find a loop hole to expliot the govt.. Other's bask in the glory of living in a great (but frozen land)

Anyways coming to my main point :
It is pointless to be staying in Canada if you canot get a good job and in your field. That is what the job numers and the futures jobs numbers show. they show that it will be very very tough for a new immigrant or a recent immigrant to find a job until 2011.
Choice is in our hands.

Peace by TK

Comments like these are what I find distateful. It feels as if the poster couldn't come up with something constructive for the healthy debate, this is the response they resort to. Someone living in a country, and then criticising it conveys nothing. According to your argument, people who are not happy at a place they are living, should pack their bags and move to a country they love. Let me tell you, you won't find a single soul in India, if one could do so.

OTOH, pointing out imperfections in a system is not so bad. Take it as constructive criticism and maybe come up with a solution.

Regarding health care system in Canada, US Congress is citing Canada's health care example, as to why government should NOT be involved in health care system of a country. How, if one gets sick, has cancer or tumor, doctors in country like Canada do not bother, delays can be as long as 6 - 8 months and nobody is bothered by the sorry state of the patient.
