... If you lived in Canada for 5 years, wonder why you didn't get the citizenship and then moved to India...
Hello;
May be OP's job is semi/ government; a Canadian citizen is not allowed.
I am in same situation.

Hi Benparsad, here's the reply....

Thanks alexm for reply:
Actually i had a well payed job in Canada and that too in my software field.
I studied in canada and got placed directly from the campus.
But because of some unfortunate reasons, i had to move back to India and currently i m working in IBM.
My priorities are good life style. Though i am happy in india as well, but i dont want to loose canadian PR and then loose the chnace of getting citizenship. and when i think the future in india for my family, i dont get positive things keeping in mind the pollution, children studies, health etc..
Thx bombayduck, for ur reply but my career experience is mostly of canadian experience, i worked for 4 years in canada in my 5 years of exp. so i guess i would be able to find good job thru my contacts.
Thx smart desi, desifrnd and Fido for ur replies.
The thing is that if dont come back to canada in next 2 years, i wont be able to satisfy 2 years stay in canada requirement and my card would expire.
(though i lived in canada for 5 years, but my status was of work permit)
so either i have to sacrifice ibm job or canadian pr.
Hi manty,
My take on this tricky issue is follow ur heart, you are familiar with Canadian market, u have canadian education so you can come in get ur citizenship and things will work well in ver 2.0.
Finally u can always go back to india, but if you continue in india you will miss the opportunity of canadian citizenship....
Take the logical move and leave the rest to destiny, events will take their own course
good luck, and welcome back !
cheers

If a person has the right experience in IT , he can get a job pretty much anywhere .
If I was in the op's shoes , I would perhaps wait till the last moment my PR obligation limits ........ perhaps a month or 2 more ......... wait for the economy to pick up in the mean time and then come here , stay for a couple of years , get citizenship and then decide future course of action ....
What makes the op thinks that he would not get a comparable job in Canada after a couple of months ? I think Indian market is tough enough .

Fido.
Dear friend,
You should think what you want to give to your next generation? Clean enviornment, less crime, less competetion in the education field, good healthcare?
Anyway one generation has to suffer, whichever will be the first to come here they have to suffer but then the next generation had good time in the future or if you want to live your life then your next generation has to suffer???????????
you have to chhose either of them.
pardesi_canadamein and fido, i agree with your point.
Because if i continue living here i would be loosing the canadian PR and my 5 years of struggle would go waste with respect to PR.
I know its difficult to move with the family from one india to canada, specially when you dont have hell lot of problems in india.
Though it is out of topic, but i want to say this as well. that after living in canada, it gave clear vision to compare india with other countries. I guess everyone in my situation would do.
eg today morning itself, i saw a huge pile of garbage in rainy season and people had to pass thru that way..while in canada even when the garbage trailer passes, you wont be able to know..it passed..
Regarding roads, canadian system would let you know even if the road has sharp turn, but in india you wont expect any signs even when road is under construction.
