I agree with OP.

This begs the question, to the almighty MODs obviously:
What is the purpose of "Photo Of the Day"?

I find:
The quality is bad
The size is too small
Zero moderation on quality of pictures

A picture of a toilet is, in your opinion, is worthy of making it into the "Photo of the day"? Really? That's your "Photo of the day"?

I think people should be allowed to submit anything they want. But that does not mean each one of them needs to make it to the "Photo of the day". Can you not moderate the images and then promote good ones?

Come on Guys there is nothing wrong with having Pic of the day....

A \"PIC\" tells hundred stories. and it up to you how you see it.

Whats wrong with \"TOILET\" Pic.

Have you ever thought that how lucky we are that God has given us the resources to have a TOILET with all the amenities. But most of ppl in this world are not fortune enough like us.

So Think about those ppl who dont have all these facilities which we enjoy.

So Please dont make a big deal of a PIC.

PIC has nothing to do .. It up to us how we illustrate it.

All pictures have one universal characteristic which normally people will consider at a first look. All –ve pictures can be seen +ve and vice-versa but here we are talking about that general aspect which looked –ve to most of the CDs who contributed to this thread.
