try some professional networking on linkedin.com and you may search for jobs within your profession as well. You may hook up with some alike minded people from same profession within Toronto Area and exchange your resume and other details to concern managers.
Its not always necessary to know a person but sometimes knowing the profile of right person might improve the chances of getting you a right place in your career.
