Hi
This is an extention to my earlier post on to what constitutes a " good job" in Canada (for which no one except Biomed responded). I have a similiar question. People say that after a few years of hardwork/struggle, you will really get there..
My question is "you will get where"?
What exactly are we getting after struggle? anything?

"The grass is not, in fact, always greener on the other side of the fence. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend the grass wherever you may be"
Again I am the one who is responding..
Well as I mentioned in a post before... if you get Good Job in your own field within 6 months of landing.. you are OK. Beyond that chances of getting job in your own field goes down with the time considerably(if you are struggling not studying).
So, I don't think you are going get anywhere after few year's struggle.
Thanks and regards.

well, don't know if this is the rigth advice or not but still,
well, one can find a safe job and stay, as long as they ll keep you, or you can venture out. start your own business, and take risk.
me for eg. i have been working for a consulting firm for about 4years now,
moved around within the company a few times, but don't think i have found what my calling is...
of couse it pay the bills, but if that s what u r looking for .....u have it. but other wise u have to prove yourself, do more than just needed. ..and it will be recognized....
or you can take more risk and start something new... like a business and or franshise,,,,,,
whatever pushes your buttons.....
u don't get anywhere until u plan to be their..
hope that help.

I AM NEW IN THIS SITE. I HAVE SUBMITTED MY PR APPLICATION TO CHC AND LOOKING FORWARD FOR NEXT STEPS. I HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
I HAVE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING BACKGROUND WITH 10 YEARS WQORK EXPERIENCE. I KNOW THAT IT DOES MEAN I WILL GET A JOB OF MY OWN FIELD (PRODUCTION & R&D) IN CANADA.
1. WHAT ARE THE COURSES WE CAN TAKE AFTER REACHING CANADA TO GET A BETTER JOB IN ?
2. HOW IT IS POSSIBLE TO SUSTAIN OURSELVES (2 PERSONS) DURING STUDY PERIOD?
3. ANY SCHOLARSHIP / PART TIME JOB POSSIBLE DURING THIS PERIOD?
4. FROM WHERE DETAILS CAN BE KNOWN?
THANKS.
