Hi to all Cd's

I am looking for a good family cellphone plan. Myself and husband need a good cellphone provider who can give us :

2 phones @ $0.00 ,
contract is ok,
Unlimited calls between these two lines
evenings and weekends free
I dont mind 50 or 100 minutes.

I just want to know from any1 who has family plans and how much does your first month bill comes and the bill of subsequent months.

I want the cheapest phone.

Please help.

Want to get the actual feedback before searching on the net or in shops whos give all good deals just to make you buy it and when the bill comes its outrageous.

Thanks

Hi Samna,

I am having a plan called myCREW from Virgin Mobile with $25 per month option ($25 for each of us). Phone is free on a 2 year contract.

You will get 100 free minutes per month. Apart from that you get unlimited local talk and text to a maximum of 5 numbers.

Weekends and evenings (7-7) free. There is an activation fee of $35 (one time).

This package will not give caller id. No system access fees. Addl minutes at 35c per minute. If you want caller id that will be extra (monthly rate, I think $7). Assuming that you start on the first day of the billing cycle, opt for internet invoice and do not exceed free minutes, your first month's bill would be 25+25+35 = 85 + taxes (because they bill for the second month in your first bill).

The salesperson we dealt with gave us student bonus also which means we can call up to 10 nos. local talk and text free. You can edit this list of numbers once in a calendar month.

Depending on how new you are to Canada, there will be a security deposit and a bill cap. We paid $50 each as security. But they gave us some freebies (priced on the higher side anyways, of equivalent value to the deposit we paid).

I think it is reasonable. Better packages may be available. Shop around.

Please provide feedback if you find some good offers.

Cheers.:)

Yes. That's right.

The first bill (only) will have the addl $35 towards the activation fee.

The subsequent bills would be $25 + taxes for each person.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.:)

24 hours Cell Phone free out going and free incoming with C.ID only $16.72
Here is the Tip , get a prepaid service by Telus and Add $10. Now go to LINK or alldaytalk.com and get your magic # for Only $8.95 per month (no contract) This is good for one month as well. Now Go to your account and add a My Fav one which will cost you $ 7 and will be deducted from your $ 10 balance. This is also good for one month. Add the Magic Jack number as my fav one and you are done.
now Give this magic jack # to your friends and family and all call incoming is free and all call going out is free as well for you through this Magic #.

So what you are getting Free caller ID, free voice mail and unlimited calling out 24 hour with unlimited incoming calls. Total cost 8.95 +10= 18.95. A balance of $2.27 will transfer to your next month in your account. so you will save every month $2.27.
So your monthly charges after deducting the balance will be like this

$ 8.99 + 7.73 = $ 16.72 + Tax ... Do you believe it ? if not do it right away and start saving hundred of $$$$ of your cells bill and Top of it that there is no contract.

Do not go contract with alldaytalk.com for 3 years as they reduce the price by 6.99 per month after contract.

Serving to DESI and get blessing
Please forward this tips to your friends and family ASAP. thanks

If you have any question please post or contact me. thanks
Note: Please get your Magic # first because once you add your # in my one fav you can not change the # in the same month.( As for as my knowledge)

****Use this phone as a home phone as well
****Some Canadian cities long distance is free as well with Magic Number

****For magic number you need to use your credit card or they told me that "purchase a "Vanilla" Prepaid Master Card in Shoppers Drug Mart"( I have no idea about this card)

**** There is another Prepaid Visa Card by citizen bank available in Pharma Plus and look like better than Vanilla. Validity for one year and one time service charge only .... Visa Card $ 25 + $3.99 no service charge for one year + no other Tax and for $50 + $5.99 service charge for one year + no other Tax (As per card )

Also Unlimited calling to the following cities: for magic # users
Vancouver, Toronto, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Halifax, Windsor, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Oshawa, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Kingston, Hamilton, Cooksville , Brantford, Brampton,
Niagara Falls.

Bell Mobility has family plan options that meet your requirements.

You can get 2 phones free if you sign 2 year contract.
Unlimited calling between the 2 phones
Evenings (6:00 pm - 7:00 am) and weekends free
Peak included minutes depend on package selected (tiers of 150, 250 and 350 minutes).

http://www.bell.ca/shopping/PrsShpWls_RtpSharePlans.page

If you don't sign up for caller ID and voice mail, you can save $7 per feature (plus taxes).
If you are a new customer, you may be able to negotiate and get some extra features included - call them and try, don't sign up online.
I think you should be able to get your family plan within $35 - $40 a month.
