I have heard once the case goes to insurance claims dept., it is decided based on documents - i.e. the police or collision center report and the pictures. To prove your pint you need to have the relevant pictures and note them on the report.

Thank fully it was not my fault so i got reimbursed in full..
Avoid standby roadside tow trucks as far as possible unless the cops instruct u...
Call CAA if u have membership..
