Regarding the Reservation issue raised by Son of India for the education system in India.
I am asking a very fundamental question to the forward cast people; What they have achieved so far after scoring 99.99 to 100% marks in the + 12 subjects in the 59 years of freedom India. I did not see the proportionate development in India with 99.99 % or 100 % mark.
Forward Cast people just enjoying the benefits from the Government, and Private sectors.
India is not advancing to the developed country status BECAUSE OF THE FORWARD CAST PEOPLE AND HIGH POPULATION NOT BECAUSE OF SC/ST PEOPLE AND THEIR LESS MARKS 45% or 0 %
The developed countries like Canada and USA has a reservation system for the Native Indians (First Nations) to gain admission in the Universities after +2 (Grade 12). Why not in India.............
These countries are part of G8, where is the disadvantage due to the reservation system or the low marks.
I seriously doubt if you have ever lived in India. No one can tell someone's caste by looking at skin color. Nor can people guess where you are from based on what you talk. Lots of South Indian speak fluent Hindi and there are lots of North Indians whom I personally knew who were born to North Indians raised and settled in South India.
All through my life I studied in an environment where we had a mix of people from different states and different castes. There were good people and losers in both groups as well as different castes.
I worked several years in Indian IT industry and I had coworkers from different states. We never had that feeling. Yes occasional caste based biases (perceptions again - never could validate those claims) here and there but not as much as in Canada.
And I seriously doubt if you have ever lived in India when you are comparing what SC/ST or BC people have in India as reservation compared to Native(First Nations) people in Canada.
Do you know what reservation is?
What native people here have is no where near to reservations in India. If there were reservations here then Govt. should reserved some of the positions in the govt. for Natives. That doesn't happen here.
Now your issue of cow as a God. WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT HINDUSIM BUDDY? Hinduism is one of the most tolerant religions in the world. They don't worship cow. They give a great importance to cow. A lot of practises were based on ancient rituals.
WHAT YOU SAID JUST NOW IS A BLASPHEMY FOR HINDUS. IF HINDUS WERE LIKE SOME OF THOSE JOKERS IN MIDDLE EAST, THEY WILL BE TRYING TO KILL YOU FOR BLASPHEMY. BUT HEY RELAX, HINDUISM IS A MODERN AND REFORMED RELIGION. UNLIKE IN SOME OTHER RELIGIONS, YOU CAN QUESTION THE VALIDITY OF SOME PRACTISE WITHOUT RISK OF BEING KILLED.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT RELIGION YOU BELIEVE IN BUT I CAN POINT OUT FLAWS IN EVERY MAJOR RELIGION.

The truth is that at the current 6 billion population, India contributes to 16% of the global population, while another 16% comes from China. The strength China has is that it has a wide land area, while India does not have. We could stuff only a certain number of match sticks in a match box, the balance will overflow. In the near future India will continue to be the top generator of English speaking Human Resource for the world and China will take a longer time to reach there.
In the next decades every fourth guy in the world will be an Indian.

The bottomline is your neighbour may worship his Dog's d**k. It may sound foolish. But it is none of your business buddy.
This is a liberal and free country. You can worship anything/anyone or not even worship anyone. As long as you don't create problems to others or force others to follow your rules of worship , it is fine.

the topic was people living India. not south or north indian. whosoever started writing this probably didn't even realise others people have brains to interprete.
Please help yourself by cutting the age old issue away. we are a cast oriented community and problem would not have been there if states were formed regional basis rather language basis.
We realise that in every walks of our life.
If Hindi could become National Language while only few of states spoke Hindi n others \"HAD\" to learn Hindi. there was bound to be a problem.
Hinduism is great way of living but we have set our boundries as to
within-community(cast)-only,.........till that doesn't come out from each of our heart thing will remain as they are.
politicians will never let it smooth out, be it India or any other country. thats their way of living or should I say BUSINESS.
now as far as the topic goes......migration....
someone put it nicely, India is small country for its population so people will go out. let people go out no problem but let them be educated for the truth may be different than they know of.
its ironic, people boast that we are most IT brain producing country.....but still our national language is the most difficult to come on internet....secondly its more difficult to write it. Our IT brains dont do anything about. till we can not do this basic, education doesn't go too far. ENGLISH remains attractive and anything english remains more attractive and people informing them about realty become Dushman.
As an Indian we take proud to say we are indian n what not....but when it comes to work for it.....its difficult to put pedal to the metal.
stop fighting for petty issues.....spend your energy in doing something better for yourselves n people around.
