Did you know:

Regular milk in Canada does not contain any hormones? It is only in US that one needs to be concerned about it since theirs does.

After blindly switching to Organic milk for our child, it is only recently we discovered this fact that made us go "darn"!

Stay classy Canada :)

Never did organic milk for our son anytime. maybe, that's why he talks non-stop :)

Milk prices are a rip-off here. $4.47 CAD at Zehrs (Windsor) vs. $1.59 USD at Kroger (metro Detroit). It's $1.39 with Kroger card. Same with most dairy products.

indeed milk prices are rip off here  . the least expensive milk you can get here in the GTA is $3.99 for 1% or 2%. Homo milk is at least $4.49. In Buffalo, milk is $1.59 at Wegmans. Even bread there is 2 for $1 or $0.50 each. Here bread is $2.29.

are wiki answers/sources reliable? Interestingly the answer seems to indicate that the BGH is responsible for all the infections/pus in milk (gross eh) but unless every dairy cow in Canada is being milked by hand, how many are hooked up to machines (BGH in their feed or not)and have infections because of the constant pressure on their udders which can lead to pus going into your milk?

Im not disagreeing with you blorean. Just saying that once I did some research on this, I switched over to Soya Milk. Im slowly trying to give up all dairy as well, as cow's milk is in all of them

morning_rain - Wiki answers was the most concise. One can scavenge the net for oodles of resources. Actually my wife picked it up from an RFD discussion here:
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?s=79dd87e0ad750a981220141154ab3298&t=554671

And we did some more research and found that it is indeed a fact.

Coincidentally that forum topic above is about cow's milk vs Soy milk...
