Anybody has any experience for getting visitor visa for India at Brampton office? Any positive /negative feedback? Anything to be kept in mind before going to the office?

I had applied for the visitor visa for my son and didn't face any problem. Online status worked correctly and the visa was issued on time without any specific questions asked. I think documents should be in order...that's all!!!

Overall it was good!

Is there a long lineup/rude staff/long waiting like Indian consulate in Toronto?

I reached there early in the morning (around 8.30) and hardly found more than five people standing in the line. Within 3-4 working days, online status showed the visa issued which I picked up in the evening, again no hurdle. Staff is not rude as compare to Toronto office.

My experience interacting with VFS folks was very positive. They were courteous and helpful. Even over the phone, they have been polite, although, I have received few conflicting info. How and what they do behind the scenes with CGI is another story.

Overall, experience at VFS is not bad at all. Lately, there seems to be a lot of crowd. OCI apps has separate number for the queue and everybody else have another queue. Hence OCI applicants get priority although processing and reviewing each OCI application takes a good amount of time.

Hi All : Is it mandatory to apply through VFS or can we go directly to Toronto office ?
