hI

buying house is always a big steps.

i personally woudnt go with townhouse or condo at that price, cause i like my privacy - my freedom

But again house and condo both has thier own advantages and disadvantages.

as per my knowledge:

Condo:
-Cheaper ( at some extent)
- less appriacation value means less resellabilty
- dont have to worry about maintance ( mainly, grass, snow, outside repair), so if u dont like taking care of property then go for it.

House :
expensive then condo
much appriaction - easy to sell with profit
but u do all the work,, maintance, fixing, etc....

So ask your self :
What is the priority ? location, affordablity, resellabilty ?

if you are thinking of selling in couple of years , house will be a best deal.
if you like privacy , your own terms - house is better

instead of investing 200K in condo i would invest 300K in house.

Thanks Newyork and Blue_peafow for reply,

I think some confusion is going on..

its not actually a Condo but Townhomes....Honestly I have some doubt between TOWNHOMES AND TOWNHOUSES??

yesterday i went personally to visit site...it is exactly on Dundas and Sixth Line (corner of East /South).

Walking distance to Wall mart, Lowlaws, Canadian Tire, Banks, mall etc...

There is two Secondary School and One High school within 2.0 km area. Only thing is my Job in Mississauga, so yesterday at evening pick hrs around 6.00 p.m. i drove and it tooks me around 30 minutes to reach through Dundas St.

Our budget is around $300,000 Max.

Will we get any good house in Mississauga area?? Is it possible to get Good neighbourhood townhouse or Semi in this range??

I tried with MLS and you know most of agent coming with some Different story and pressurising us to buy a house right now, so now onwards we are not contacting any Agent on this stage.

we are planing to buy in this range only and we do not want to go for too old house like 15 or 20 years old as again i have to put lots of money to maintain the house.

your feedback will help me a lot....

there is condo townhouse - which has maintanace fees ( not as much as Condo)

and there is Free hold town houses - which is better options

I am not sure about Toronto RE market since i just move but YES, i have look into some property since i am also looking to buy and i found u can find good semi-detached at 300 K.

Unfortunetlly, u have to go with agent because not many property is available on public MLS. go speak with different agent dont sign the contract.

meanwhile ,check this link , it might help u find property : check this link it might help u: http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/new-constructions-east-brampton-mississauga-list-them-789534/

If u don't want to go with RE agent, then i would suggest u to check the new upcoming construction with reputed builders in ur area so in that way you will have an opportunity to own a new house and it won't be righ now so u might be flexible with ur budget as ur house will be ready in next year or two.

hope this helps....

I had been to so many builders...............Be careful of the catch.............They say Freehold townhouse or townhome but you have to pay the small fee for road or grass etc thats the catch.........Freehold townhouses doesnt have any maintainance fee.
