I went on "charcha". after a long time, and am surprised that the debate on real estate is yet to end. As usual, rahul singh, who has the distinction of bring an "expert" on real estate, continues his tirade on the "evils of buying a house. He has been forecasting doomsday for a long time, and this time both the Mayans and Nostradamus are clearly upset, simply because they have competition.
Having said that, why buying a house has to do with "profits", "appreciation", & "loss of house values"? Rahul seems to be obsessed with profit motive, losses, "wrong timing", the real estate "bubble" (his most favorite term), and of course the impending doom.
Why can't he just see buying a home (not a house) as simply a matter of personal choice, security, and satisfaction?
Clearly Rahul is obsessed with his ideas, and wants the whole world to agree with him. Unfortunately the world around him is too smart to say "yeah you are right" and follow his "scholarly" advice.

I could not stop myself to say your reply was very practical reply...
People should look at their own situation along with the RE market trends.. no just the RE agent to buy or not.
