Hi,
This is my first letter to CD. I am disappointed by the way desis are discusssing about the Canada. I wish to come to Canada for further studies But reading the reviews makes me feel dejected. I will be coming for fall-2005. Can some senior desis throw light in this direction

Hi Pangamatle and Chaitanya
First of all this will be just my suggestions and i'll not be responsible for your any decision based on my suggestions.
--> Try to find the job on campus, coz u can just work there.
--> I guess govt. allows u to work off campus and to have work permit only if any uncertainity happnes to you and you ran out of the money, though in this case you need to prove that you don't have any money at all.
hope this helps you.
You can work off-campus :
- as part of your co-op internship
-as a volunteer
- as a international student enrolled in some Manitoba University/College .
Try volunteering for a not-for-profit organisation if you cant get a job on-campus .
It worked for me . I got a on-campus 9$/hr job based on the experience I gained over there and also the reference of my volunteer internship employer .
