There are three elements to the story. On one hand, there are many divisions among Indian society, especially on the basis of religion. Then the willingness of these participants (recruiters) to work against the country. Finally, the (un)willingness of the government, be it the the police, the home ministry or the judicial system to work together and keep the country secure.

It is a sad commentary on the state of the nation in India. Would this ever happen in Israel? Or can this happen in the west, without the government taking action? No this can't happen here.

Morals, the fear of law, patriotism, love for the country or a fellow beings - all of these are, things of the past, in India . Instead it is about how to destroy a fellow being, in the name of religion.

All of us know where the solution lies. The government needs to come down, with a heavy hand - the Indian Penal Code needs to changed, and capital punishment should be mandatory for all crimes against the state (and fellow beings). None of this will happen because the powers that be care, only about votes, and how to save their "gaddi".

Till such time that there is fear that when caught, the only way out, is to the gallows, terrorists will continue to recruit innocent and gullible women. Either that or God must give our rulers in India, the motivation to act.

The solution is simple....

Stop supporting BJP...and support congress with full force
Once congress feel safe about their stand they will stop supporting minorities in India and they can do lot better than any other party.

The truth is we cannot run country without politicians and we have to choose, BJP is worse party to choose because BJP believes in breaking India into pieces...

So once all Hindu start supporting congress India will progress

Blue_Peafowl is absolutely wrong on both counts.

The congress party has practiced divisive politics for as long as I can remember. This party has gone lengths to please what they call "the minority sections of society". There would have been nothing wrong - as long as it did not play into the hands of fundamentalists in both the Hindu and Muslim community.

The BJP, VHP, and other similar organizations for long have nurtured the dream of a "hindu rashtra - something that has to be given up, or could have been achieved in 1947. Given that something like this is unlikely to happen, they wish to keep their vote bank secure by making the hindu community feel insecure.

One party is not better than the other , For all political parties both have pursued nothing but power and wealth. Who cares about the nation, eh?

I am not in support of minority either...

i do agree that "One party is not better than the other " but what choice do we have ? Congress or BJP ?

I think except the Gujrat, rest of the country thinks otherwise and seem to be very excited to vote congress. It appears the Rahul + Sonia fancy package is a big hit in India that even lead to the so called Tiger of Mumbai to catch the dust this time. Despite the terrorist attack in Mumbai, dull image of Pawar, dysfunctional govt, the congress has won Maharashtra means something changing radically.

To me, it is evident that the society seem to have geared towards more of a westernized thoughts of their quest of economy and prosperity than the fundamental values. This is one of the reason the regional / religious influenced parties continue to compromise their grip.

Trust me, if BJP or SP or these all other folks do not add fancy glitters as what congress has added ( lot to list such as Rahul / Sashi etc..), these parties will soon be history. The young generation that is shaping in the information age has very unique interest that is set to drive the economy to a new level. The mob lynching, veil and other cultures have set their timers already to expire...

Fundamentalists continue to operate widely throughout the country but still I firmly believe the nation is set to see more positive changes.
