I have to join by January 1st.2010.Which of the following is faster for processing to fly to India before January1st. ? I have to decide before I get the Canadian Passport by December 8th.
1. Getting the employment visa ( need some documents from Indian Company)
2. Getting the PIO card and then apply for OCI from India
3. Getting the OCI from Canada
The person of the similar experience may share or advise from other would be appreciated.

You do not have the Canadian Citizenship yet. So, wait for it to materialize.
Then after you obtain the same you become eligible to ask for teh OCI Card.
Currently you are an Indian Citizen. You don't need a Work permit.
You pay taxes in India to start with, because you earn the income there.
After you become a Canadian Citizen, you pay I.T. on the world income.
The taxes you pay in any other country, if it has a treaty with Canada will provide you with tax relief, under the Dual Tax Avoidance clause. Which means you are given the benefit of having paid the required tax in one country.
You open an N.R.O. account initially. Any Bank. HDFC is a good one. SBI is the next. These Banks will help you in your remittances to other countries for family maintenance.
Your foreign exchange could be sheltered in an N.R.E. Account. Or could have a bank account or a brokerage account anywhere in any other part of the world. There are accountants who do these taxes for you from India. More on it later.

Thanks Freddie,
As I mentioned that I am already a Canadian Citizen and waiting for the Canadian Passport which I am hoping next week.
My main concern to get the quicker processing for visiting India before Jan1st2010 out of Employment Visa,PIO and OCI which one is better and faster to start the work on Jan1st.
Regarding financial year for TDS/ tax purpose of India ( April to March) & Canada ( Jan to Dec). How this will be managed?
What is the difference between NRE and NRO account. Here I do have the chequing account with TD and PC financial.Should I open any other account here in Canada?
Your expert advise would be appreciated.
