Yeah you are right, based on current citibank stock and recent history, citibank and its subsidiary would not do such a small thing..they are interested more in bigger scams :P

Primerica operates as an MLM.
their "financial advisors" are structured in an upline-downline pyramid.
just google or search for primerica MLM and spend a couple o f hours researching and you can understand all about how it operates.
if you are a downline, most of your sales commissions first go to your upline.
very little is left for you.
like other MLM schemes (scams) you don't start making any money until you are at leats up to middle level.
and by that time you have already invested thousands of dollars and countless hours of your personal time into it by way of membership fees, attending gatherings, 'seminars', 'educational' and 'motivational' videos and material and so on.
they do sell products like insurance, mortgages, investments
but then so does amways and quixstar like soaps shampoos energy bars and so on
but their structure is MLM. which means the primary source of income for a given upline is the commissions coming in from the downlines and new recruits not from the sales of the products themselves.

She is definitely at the top of the pyramid I suppose.

But then this whole thing is even more interesting now. Why should I think of being at the lower rung and loose, when I can reach the higher one like Gopalpai and get away when people start probing too much. All rich people do that..........so why not aspire higher than simply some extra money.

I don't know you so i must guess that you are joking and poking fun here.
99% of these scouts that you see in grocry stores and internet chat groups like this are very low rung minions in the MLM.
at best they might be lower-middle level uplines.
the top tier is very very small and you almost never see them except on the websites and promotional videos.
and you can't just reach the top tier by applying like a job application.
and you can't reach there simply by "hard work" either.
it is like a old gentlemen's country club. only a few selected folks are at the top tier.
they are the ones with the real deep pokctes and deep connections.
I don;t know gopalpai either so i must guess that he has recently joined the MLM and is still starry eyes with all the promises and all the ra-ra meetings and promotional videos.
they show you images of people retiring at 30 years age, having big houses, cottages, cruise ships, exotic vacations and make you believe all this is yours for the taking if you simply go out and recruit new folks.
it is just plain simple brain wash.

I very much bet Chandresh is. I admire his "innocence".
:)

....and still not one proponent of Amway like businesses has come forward to explain in layman terms what a new recruit has to potentially do. When I say, explain, it has to happen before the poor soul is sucked into it.

Oh, I know, it's because sleazy and sneaky is the only way they "recruit" people.

And his 'get-into-character' skills :)

I have been talked into by these operators and in the middle of the conversation I drop curtain saying "I hope its not about Amway or any such business" ...

I dont have time n energy to understand - can't get into character that easily :)

I came across few cases where these guys have some relation with Mumbai and moment I tell them my name they fluently start talking Marathi :D So pure that Raj Thakre would immediately endorse Amway as true Marathi company.
Poor chap must be sweearing in hindi the moment I turn my back after "politely" telling him about not interested in business.
