It is not possible to complete all landing formalities in two weeks. You can apply for PR card but you will not receive one by the time you leave. Many people give friends/relatives address for PR card and ask them to mail it to your address outside canada.

If CIC has any problems with your PR card application , you may have to come back to Canada and to do that you will have to apply for a travel document as you will not be able to come without a PR card after landing

Thanks ,
Normally how many days it will take to receive PR ? If I give my friend's address to receive it then I can leave in 2 weeks ? I am coming in March , How would be the weather in march ?
About my savings If I am not bringing all my savings ( 150k cad ) to canada , Is it ok ? I have to declare all my savings even if I am not bringing now ?

Currently PR Card processing takes about FIVE WEEKS for the first issue, if everything falls in place.

They are holding the issue of the cards by examining the pictures to see if they match the ones in their files and if they do not, that saves them all of the hassles of issuing you one.

Then you apply for a travel document paying fifty bucks. Then wait to receive that piece of paper and hurry down to Canadian borders. Then cross, and apply all over again, at which time you will stay and spend a few bucks. Then get all of your cards etc., and live here for good.

The TWO most important parts of getting into Canada are:
Getting entry and LANDING here. Do that before its expiry.
Then applying for your PR Card/s, right after landing.
The rest are unimportant, as you are not going to be staying here. And if you apply for any other card and get one and if you are not going to be living in Canada, the cards that you obtained will CRUCIFY you anyway. So, why bother applying or getting one. So also the opening of the Bank account etc.,

All you need to show as proof funds are: just what it calls for. See their letter and your first application, for the exact amount. If you are single, it will be lesser than 11K http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
You can bring in a demand draft in Dhiram equivalent to the $11,000.00 and when you return deposit the same back into the same account. Currently about 37,000 Dhirams. http://www.forex-rates.biz/index.php?step=convert

Carry enough for your local use, depends upon the number of days that you stay here.
You should declare, when they give you a form, say that you have $11,000.00 on you for Proof of funds. Also you have more to transfer at a later date and currently it is sum of 150k -11k which will be 139k. How is that for Math.

Freddie.

Enjoy your landing and meet all of your friends and the family and sight see a few of the best places that you wanted to enjoy seeing, and then return and settle down back into the same old groove. Since you know the employment situation is nil to nothing in most of the fields, stay there in the M.E. till you amass some more money and and return back to find a decent job at a later date. You will be well prepared to face the job scarcity a little better. (Unless you do have a job offer already.)
