I think it is a very good idea to do a petetion of some kind where we create a link on this website where we can do an electronic petetion and send it to the new immigrattion minister i.e. JUDY SGRO

The feds elections are comming either in summer or most likely in fall and it is a good time to reap the benifits. We can even write to the minister asking the reasons for delay.

Please suggests your thoughts on the above.

I must tell you a fact that happened with me that I listed earlier in this website.

I got the acknowledgement for my mother PR application in Jan 2003 stating that the time frame is one year. In Feb2003, the time was changed to three years.

In November 2003, the time frame was infact changed to two years and in couple of weeks on 11th Dec 2003, it was again changed to three years.

Ironically this time frame of three years is for India, if you visit Canadian High Commission Website for Pakistan or China, you will find a maximum timeframe of two years.

I propose to write a Petition and have it online wherein someone can visit and put their consent in. This will be directed to the Judy Sgro for making the Parent Sponsorship Time faster. What is going on is just in-human and a farce. Canadian Govt is now showing their True Colors. They are Deliberately delaying the Parent Sponsorship - which is outrageous. From 8 months - now it takes 3.5 to 4 years.
If anyone is interested, please, contact me at the email below. We WILL find a way out to host out petetion and finally we will make a representation to the Minister.

I applied for my mother's immigration in June 2002, she still has not received her medical papers.Yesterday when I checked the CHC website I got shocked to see that it is now taking minimum 4 yrs to get PR visa for parents ( even ininterview waived cases)!!!

This is purely intentional and a planned move by the Canadian Govt....
I am ready to sign the petition.

Yaa the governement seems to have a very clear intention in their mind.Bring more people who contribute to their economy.And fed their old citizens.

I am a new member of canadian desi. hello to all who have posted their concerns about parents immigration. I applied ofr my parents in december 2002. got my file number from mississauga in march 2003. same time the case was sem\nt to new delhi to be put in a refrigerator. nothing has happened since despite of my petitions to Judy Sgro and others. Let us start a petition and send it to the immigration minister.
