does anyone know, how I could get a part time teaching job in Sherida or any other of the colleges . I've heard you need a referral.
Is anyone already teaching? or knows a professor etc?

Thank you
This is the advice from one of the adjunct faculty on how he penetrated the part-time teaching opportunity.
Prepare a CV (not a resume) that lists details of your professional career.
Visit the website of the college/univ.
Review the course catalog of the field you want to teach.
Pick 3 to 6 courses that you are able and willing to teach.
Write up a cover letter stating, among other things, the courses you can teach in that college.
Send the letter (most likely an email these days) to the Chair of that department.
Follow up after 3 weeks with a phone call. Leave a message. Follow up with an email. Usually, positions are sought several months in advance of the term beginning. So, indicate when you will be available...ex: I am available beginning Fall 2010 term.
Good luck.
