I am a senior structural engineer/manager with 20 yrs experience in structural design and management of high rise building and have worked in some world class projects like "Burj Al Arab" and "Emirates Towers" in Dubai. I have recently got my immigration for Canada approved and intend to land sometimes in May-June this year.
I would be grateful if someone can advise me about the job market in Canada (Toronto) in my field and any lead/help to get a procure a job in Toronto.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated

Tanmay

when you are migrating to canada, forget about all your worldly education and experience. You have worked on good projects, so did my husband on dubai airport project, mall of emirates. He was working as senior electrical engg in Tiger Group. Still, we have to upgrade our education here and get certification done. After that too, without canadian experience and reference especially reference, nobody will touch you here.

My advise to you is to please apply from dubai giving your relative mobile no and address and try. I did same thing but not even one response. Economy is bad and this is not right time to migrate perhaps, may/june when you are migrating economy may improve but still my advice would be to land and try for 1-2 months otherwise return to your job.

This is my sincere advise and welcome to canada. Read all the articles posted on canadiandesi.com.
