I noticed that some stores displays price in pounds (example 1.99 per lbs) and when gets scanned, it displays and print bill with price per kilograms. Regardless of how careful I am, most of the times I fail in converting the price and making sure that I was charged correctly.
Why cant they just print the bill in pounds if they display the items in store in pounds?
Normally, it doesnt make much difference at the end, but just an annoyance.
If one be nice and politely ask them, why they do this. Sometime they would come up with the inside truth.
"There is fierce competition in this business and we have to survive. Else we will not make enough after all the expenses ..."
Now take it or leave it. Some VATANI items are available only on these DESI stores. Just be extra careful for real over charging in dollars (cents be taken as forced TIP)

The store clerk said it was it's policy not to charge for the items in a situation like that.
