I recently came to Toronto (3 months back) and still not having OHIP as I am not having minimum 6 months of work permit. It might take couple of months to get extended and there after my covereage on OHIP. With out OHIP, it is going to cost more.

Could any one please suggest me where I can get some assistence for my general medical check ups. Please direct me to any community center where they provide the health checkups free. I really need to this info.

Pls specify your location . I might be able to help you find some in Scarborough . Pls note that generally Community Centre Dr. are avlbl only for emergencies ( no regular health check up ) .

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional

3 months are enough for OHIP coverage regardless of work permit or PR. Just apply for OHIP and they will send it.
