I'm just wondering if there's any desi community / friends/ group/ in Vaughan Area.

I'll be moving to Vellore Village this fall, South of Major Mac and West of Weston Rd.

Well, About myself I was born in Amritsar, lived in Chandigargh, Delhi and Bangalore before coming to Canada.
I've been living in Canada from 6 yrs but I was in Up North, further than North Bay if somone knows the North. Just came to Toronto about 6 months ago....
we and our 5 weeks old boy..... living in North York, looking forward to move in Vaughan.
please let us know if somebody lives in same community or nearby.....

Any particular reason to move to Vaughan ?
I was in same dilemma before, I move to North York then I didnt like that area so I was looking towards Vaughan but then end up buying house in Brampton
It depends what is your motivation to move to Vaughan, close to job? Or like particular area ? or may be some other reason, you can give us more detail if you want then we can advice.
Just for choice : I would not move to Vaughan unless its close to my job or some family member.

We chose Vaughan mainly due to its excellent location...
-centrally located GTA
-top class builders and great real estate mkt
-very good schools, hostpital etc.
-not very far from etobicoke/brampton/newmarket/barrie/scarborough as we don't have friends located in one neighborhood. our friend circle is small but scattered all over upto Hamilton. So access to all the districts was another reason.
While choosing place to live, we only thought Oakville,Richmond Hill and Vaughan and then decided to go ahead with Vaughan.
