Try this:
Make slits in chicken, marinate with yogurt, garam masala, red chilli powder, dhania-jeera powder, little haldi, ginger-garlic paste, salt and just a little tandoori masala (optional). Broil in a pan.. flip over and broil again. As it cooks in the gravy it won't turn dry.
If you wish when the chicken is cooked take the gravy that accumalates and heat it in another pan until thick and pour over the chicken.

Try this place ..

Doaba Meat & Poultry
503 Ray Lawson Blvd
Suite: 5
Brampton L6Y 0N2

Phone: 905-451-6330

They have a pre marinated mix which is better than any Tandoori chicken u make at home.

Put it in the oven for 20 min and u are done..

Even their precooked tandoori chicken is really good.

Their price is so reasonable that it is not worth spending time trying to do it at home..

I agree completely.
Yesterday being salary day, I went to this store and got 5 lb of raw tamdoori chicken. The chicken is a bit pricy at $ 2.99 / lb but it is free from fat and skin which is already removed. (with skin and fat raw legs are $ 1.39 / lb in chinese stores).
I put it in the oven for 35 mins. and it was the best Tandoori chicken that I had ever tasted. It did not taste sour (as a lot of them do which are bought in other stores). I ate 1 1/2 lb. along just in one night.
I highly recommend the place, if you need quality raw Tandoori chicken. I am sure that BBQ'ing it would get the best result ever.
