Any one who sign-up with WIND-Mobile cellular phone company (Toronto) ,i need their feedback for call quality as WIND-MOBILE package plan is very good.

They are offering $25 plus tax (no network charges) with unlimited incoming and out going 24 hours.

*Free (Caller ID, missed-call alerts, call forward, call conferencing, call waiting, call hold)

*Free unlimited long distance for Ontario only while you are in Wind Zone.

*Unlimited calling to INDIA:p 24 hours just add $20 only/month:(

* Unlimited calling to USA 24 hours just add $10/month

These deals are very nice but before i sign-up i need feedback from you guys regarding the call quality in Toronto.

* 50 free out going text messages US & Canada (unlimited incoming text is free)

A friend on Wind tells me that the reception inside many buildings in downtown Toronto is sketchy and results in several dropped calls. Also, their coverage area is rather limited - but if there is where you will be calling to/from then it is a good economical option. Also, the customer service experience is supposed to be better than Rogers/Bell.

Their plan is good and cheap and i have their plan since dec 2010. Never had any dropped calls. I work in downtown and on the 16th floor so no drop calls at all.

Yes Wind Zone is limited and will be good if you use within GTA.

Hai, Can anyone elaborate what is this WIND ZONE. Does it mean the coverage area?

I have the plan. The only issue is you should be in Wind Zones, otherwise the phone does not work well or does not work (for instance, it did not work at all at Niagara falls)

However, if most of your cell phone usage is going to be in Wind zones, which includes most of GTA and key cities in other provinces, the plan is fantastic and significantly cheaper than comparable plans from other carriers. Also, since the minutes (outgoing and incoming) are unliminted, you're not constantly wondering if you're over the threshold and paying through your nose. Reception in Wind zones is very good, I haven't had any issues so far.

There are geographical areas within which WIND has established their hardware infrastructure for cell phone coverage. It might be online too, but if you walk into one of their shops, they have maps that show those zones. I found that these cover most of the areas where I will use my phone.

Note that this does not impact your ability to call non-WIND zones so long as YOU are in a WIND zone. For instance, if you're in a Wind zone, you can call any number in Canada for free (don't dial the 900 ones :p ). So the plan makes a lot of sense if you don't roam outside of these zones much.

They're also expanding these zones as well, so coverage is going to improve. Overall, I'm a pretty satisfied customer so far.

Are you there?

The $25.00/month plan is only for first year - is there a 2-3 year agreement to be signed?
