I am a very happy Mobilicity customer. I first picked wind but ended up switching to Mobilicity in couple of months.
My home and work, both locations are covered by Wind home zone but I hardly had coverage at both locations. I work on Highway 7 and therefore sometimes it was picking up Wind away zones network and had to pay roaming charges..
I never had dropped calls on the road but had tons of dropped calls indoor.
Get your friends's Wind mobile and check if you have good coverage at the locations where you will be spending most times (work and home). Sometimes you will have poor coverage despite the fact that they show coverage on their maps.
Rogers was not working in my basement, now I have 3 mobilicity bars in basement.

Nope. No contract. I'm not sure about the current promotion, but I got my plan around end of December and am not under any contract.

$25 unlimited text and calls, I love wind, balls to Rogers and Bell. We have to encourage WIND to dump the contract cheaters - Rogers and Bell.

Wind keeps having various offers from time to time. The latest one is The WinterWonder Plan for $45/ month for life.
Back in December they had a All In The Family Plan, for which I had invites and posted it here.
For $20/month + tax (for life), incl:
Canada-wide calling from any Wind Zone
CA/US outgoing text from any Wind Zone
Call Waiting, Call Display, V/Mail, etc
Excellent plan. I ported my Robbers line to Wind. You can't go wrong with such a plan. In fact they had a BOGO offer at that time. I signed up for 2 lines, bought one handset and got the 2nd free.
Wind has been matching Mobilicity's offer for the past few months.
As BL mentioned it's good if you are in the Wind Zone.

I signed up on Dec 23rd. The BOGO offer started around mid-Dec and went on until the end of December. On top, I also used the WindTab, so paid $0 for both handsets (incl. the SIM). Now that's a deal...
I got one smartphone Huawei U8100 and the other Huawei U3200 (slider). Subsequently I got a LG Optimus T (P509) from the US (new unlocked for $200). Oh.. my wife loves it. Tons of apps that you can download.
BL, I've disabled my data plan from Wind so as to avoid accidental usage and get charged. I just use the WiFi for downloads
