THE KNOWLEDGE BASE....
It comes a little at a time and with experience. I read a book that brings back memories. Does it mean that I know all about it. No one can ever claim to know, "Except the Oracle of Omaha". But he gave it all away along with B.Gates.
This country is great. And the tax man loves us.

We have many types of preferred shares in Canada. Many banks came out with preferred shares issues during the crisis to increase the capital. I would suggest you to do some research. Overall a safe investment. However, buying a few bank stocks and selling calls on them a regular basis is also a good source of income. And these bank stocks also pay you a good dividend. I always fancy BNS. This not an advise and choose your options carefully.

Can anyone tell me who is the owner (or major stockholders of TD bank). If it is the trust company - who are the owners (or major holders) in that trust company. It will be very helpful, If anyone can find some numbers about this information for making us knowldgeable about :-
1. Who owns the biggest buildings in all the downtowns of Canadian cities?
2. Who is responsible for charging us huge banking fees and who eats the profits from these?
3. Who is stopping the competition in the canadian economy?
4. While Govenments (fedral, provincial, and municipal) are in huge debt, how these banks make big profits and where do this big profit money go?
5. If the goevnments or big politicians are owners, please name them.
If anyone know these informations about CIBC, BMO, Scotia, RBC in addition to TD. Please feel free to share that.
Thanks
